Position: Underwriter for Terrorism & Political Violence
We are seeking a dedicated Underwriter specializing in Terrorism and Political Violence to join our team in a full-time capacity.
The primary objective of this role is to enhance the ongoing development of the UKI Terrorism and Political Violence division. The responsibilities include:
- Underwriting current renewal accounts and addressing broker inquiries.
- Participating in renewal discussions, broker training sessions, and various business development initiatives to foster the growth of the product line.
- Collaborating closely with business development managers to support broker inquiries and cultivate new opportunities and partnerships.
- Working in tandem with underwriters across different business lines within the UK&I to optimize cross-selling opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the growth and profitability of the UKI PVT business through targeted distribution and marketing efforts.
- Underwrite a balanced portfolio of business that aligns with the revenue, profitability, growth, and production goals of the UKI PVT team.
- Maximize cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within Chubb UK&I through internal marketing initiatives and relationship management.
- Develop and maintain essential relationships with external producers.
This role is ideal for a self-driven, confident, and dynamic professional. Essential qualifications include:
- Proven experience in underwriting Terrorism and Political Violence.
- Background or developing expertise in business development.
- Ability to adapt and remain resilient in response to market fluctuations and business needs.
- Strong team player with the capability to quickly establish robust relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- ACII certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- A Levels or higher educational qualifications.
