Position Overview
The Hartford is seeking a skilled Political Risk Underwriter to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting business within the Terrorism and Political Violence sector, ensuring alignment with our established appetite. You will also play a vital role in cultivating and maintaining relationships with London and International Brokers and clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Underwrite new and renewal accounts to achieve planned underwriting results.
- Negotiate account participation, pricing, terms, and conditions with brokers.
- Contribute to the development and execution of underwriting and marketing strategies.
- Proactively support the retention of existing business through client meetings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key Brokers and Insured's.
- Contribute to periodic reporting of underwriting results.
Qualifications
- A solid educational background is preferred.
- A willingness to expand your knowledge of Political Risks and related issues is essential.
- The ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines effectively is crucial.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills are highly valued.
- An interest in and understanding of Global Current Affairs is beneficial.
