About the Role

Aon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Broker to join our Counter Terrorism team, which forms part of our Crisis Management practice within our Global Broking Centre.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and contributing to the marketing and negotiation of Counter Terrorism business within the Lloyd's and Company Markets on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Management: Manage and service a worldwide portfolio of clients produced on a wholesale and retail basis, including both renewals and new business from initial enquiry through to the handing over of the placing slip to the processing/documentation team.
  2. Risk Review and Underwriting: Provide full reviews of the risks proposed, preparation of underwriting presentations, and review of insurance produced by our documentation team.
  3. Placement and Market Relationships: Place insurance with insurers, including electronic trading, and contribute to the growth of the portfolio.
  4. Tender Support: Support and lead tenders, and proactively manage market relationships and support our broking strategy.
  5. Compliance and Risk Management: Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with our policies, including participation in the management of risks that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
About the Team

The International Terrorism team comprises of 10 Brokers with their own expertise and various levels of experience. The team serves a wide portfolio of clients emanating from territories within Latin and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Far East.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced working environment, with access to Lloyds, the London market, and other Aon facilities to deliver the Political Violence/Terrorism Insurance/Reinsurance requirements of Aon's clients.

Requirements
  1. International Terrorism Insurance/Reinsurance Experience: Proven experience in international terrorism insurance/reinsurance.
  2. Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge and understanding of London Market processes and broking.
  3. Carrier Underwriter Relationships: Key carrier underwriter relationships.
  4. Client Relationship Management: Proven experience in managing effective client relationships.
  5. Communication and Presentation Skills: Effective communication and presentation skills.
  6. Compliance and FCA Regulation: Excellent understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.
