About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Governance Specialist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Trust's patient safety and compliance initiatives, working closely with the Quality Governance department and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collate and present safety performance data, analyzing themes and trends to inform improvement initiatives
  • Develop and deliver training programs on patient safety and compliance, ensuring staff are equipped to meet regulatory requirements
  • Liaise and coordinate with external agencies, including the Care Quality Commission, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Oversee and coordinate patient safety alerts, ensuring timely and effective implementation
  • Review and analyze safety-related information to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decision-making

Requirements
  • Recent experience in the safety and quality governance environment, with a focus on patient safety and compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends, with a focus on improving patient safety and compliance
  • Experience of working with automated risk management databases, such as Datix
