Job Summary

The post holder will be responsible for coordinating patient safety across maternity services, facilitating the management of the Inphase system, and coordinating reviews of incidents. They will also contribute to responses to serious incidents and liaise closely with the complaints department, legal department, and patient safety team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor the Maternity Clinical Risk Management Strategy in Women's Services in line with the Trust's Clinical Risk Management Strategy.
  • Take lead responsibility for working with clinical staff to identify risks, review risk assessments, report risks appropriately, and ensure necessary actions follow and that learning takes place.
  • Collate and distribute learning from adverse events.
  • Liaise closely with the complaints department, legal department, and patient safety team.
