We are seeking an experienced and skilled midwife to join our vibrant Maternity Team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 7 Community Midwife, you will be responsible for providing autonomous, evidence-based, women-centred midwifery care, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, other agencies, representatives, and service users.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in midwifery care. You will be responsible for managing the clinical workload effectively, ensuring care is prioritized appropriately, and liaising with medical personnel and bed managers to ensure optimal bed usage.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement individualized midwifery care that is women, pregnant person, child, and family-centered.
- Ensure all risk assessments and referrals are completed and actioned and documented.
- Follow midwifery/obstetric guidelines where appropriate and liaise with the multidisciplinary team in the implementation of patient care, reporting and recording any deviations from the protocols.
- Ensure all clinical records comply with Trust and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in continuous professional development, including mandatory training and online learning.
- Satisfy the Clinical Governance agenda in all aspects of the delivery of care.
- Current NMC Registered Midwife
- Mentorship qualification or equivalent experience
