Position: Project Engineer (BOP) / HVAC Engineer
Company: The MEH Alliance - Altrad Babcock

Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit and promote exemplary HSE leadership, fostering a robust and compliant Health, Safety, and Environmental culture throughout the entire construction lifecycle of the Project. Ensure that all site operations are conducted safely and responsibly, adhering to relevant regulations.
  • Oversee a designated area within the Balance of Plant (BOP) on the HPC initiative.
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to drive the project towards the timely and safe delivery of designated areas, maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.
  • Guarantee that all necessary deliverables are completed on schedule to prevent any construction delays.
  • Maintain Configuration Control across the scope of Works Information.
  • Monitor adherence to applicable codes, practices, quality assurance/quality control policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Address technical inquiries and track progress effectively.

Key Outcomes:

  • Assist the BOP Building Leads in fulfilling project scope.
  • Provide weekly updates on progress and program adjustments.
  • Conduct productivity assessments and manage hours effectively.
  • Develop plans for improving construction methods.
  • Champion and nurture a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.

Qualifications and Experience:
1. Educational Background:

  • A relevant degree in construction, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
  • Alternatively, an HND/HNC in construction, mechanical, or electrical engineering is desirable.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Major Project Engineering (Construction) role is essential.

  • CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport.
  • Ability to secure BPSS or higher security clearance.
  • Professional accreditation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Navis Works is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of NEC ECC Contract is beneficial.
  • Proficient in basic IT applications.
2. Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering large-scale construction or engineering projects.
  • Experience in heavy industry or nuclear sectors is advantageous, as is familiarity with Joint Venture or Alliance environments.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and comprehend complex subjects.
