Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer/Construction Specialist to join our team. As a placement student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Site Activities: Engage in daily site activities and report to senior engineers.
  2. Project Collaboration: Collaborate with industry experts to deepen your understanding of your project.
  3. Quality Control: Prepare drawings and calculations to ensure quality control and compliance procedures are adhered to for engineering.
  4. Progress Monitoring: Monitor construction progress to ensure that deadlines are being met.
  5. Project Coordination: Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and other parties involved in the construction project to ensure that all work is completed according to specifications.
  6. Health and Safety: Ensure that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.

Accommodation and Travel

Due to the locations of some of your projects, you may be required to live away from home. We cover all accommodation costs, provide you with a daily allowance, and cover travel costs (as set out in our living away from home policy).

Requirements

  1. Studying a Civil Engineering Degree.
  2. Hold a full UK driving license.
  3. High attention to detail coupled with meticulous planning and organizational skills.
  4. Demonstrate a strong interest in all aspects of engineering and looking for a dynamic workplace that provides an outstanding career opportunity.
