Civil / Structural Engineering Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled Civil / Structural Engineering Technician to join our client's team in a dynamic infrastructure project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in infrastructure and/or structural design.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Effective operation of AutoCAD software, with Revit experience being a plus.
  2. Working towards or holding Engineering Technician status or equivalent through a recognized professional institution.
  3. Good general knowledge of building construction principles.
  4. Producing high-quality technical drawings for various construction and engineering projects.
  5. Detailed design and report production.
  6. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Accurate interpretation of engineers' mark-ups and drawings.
  8. Liaising with the design team to ensure project success.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant technical qualification, including CAD/Drafting elements (HNC/HND or equivalent).
  2. Numerate with a focus on problem-solving and analytical skills.
  3. Design ability with an application of engineering principles.
  4. Experience working on timber structures is a plus.
  5. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  6. Commercial awareness in client dealings, proposals, and projects.
