Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Executive Chef Assistant to join our team at Philema Hospitality Management Enterprise. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing food stocks, monitoring inventory, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and controlling food stocks, including ordering and receiving supplies, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Kitchen Operations: Support the Executive Chef in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, including cleaning schedules and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Recipe Development: Assist in learning and recording new recipes and cooking techniques from other members of the culinary team.
  • Stock Control: Ensure that stock is controlled and rotated, and that deliveries are accepted and stored properly.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Report any maintenance issues to the Executive Chef immediately, and assist in maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery, and be flexible and willing to help with other tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role or in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and to stand for long periods of time.
