Job Title: Domiciliary Care Assistant

St Monica Trust is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Care Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive care and support services, including personal care and hygiene, while maintaining independence and dignity.
  • Ensure the social support of residents, encouraging and facilitating their interests and meaningful activities.
  • Assist with resident health and well-being, including nutrition, medication, mobility, and supporting their visitors.
  • Formulate, review, and maintain resident care plans and paperwork, adhering to regulatory bodies and SMT policies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders across and externally to St Monica Trust.
  • Undertake housekeeping and laundry duties as necessary for the resident.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of the needs of older people, including dementia and complex care needs.
  • Ability to attend to personal care needs, including helping with food, bathing, and toileting.
  • Good level of IT skills (Microsoft packages).
  • Care certificate or willingness to work towards Care Certificate.
Desirable:
  • First Aid, food hygiene, and Manual Handling qualifications.

Hours: 10.5 hours per week (1 night shift)

Pay: £12.43 per hour, plus enhancement for night working.
