We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Care Assistant to join our team at St Monica Trust. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents in their own homes, promoting their independence and dignity at all times.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive care and support services, including personal care and hygiene, to residents in their own homes.
- Ensure the social support of residents, encouraging and facilitating their interests and meaningful activities.
- Assist with residents' health and well-being, including nutrition, medication, mobility, and supporting their visitors.
- Formulate, review, and maintain resident care plans and paperwork, adhering to regulatory bodies and SMT policies.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders across and externally to St Monica Trust.
- Undertake housekeeping and laundry duties as necessary for residents.
- Understanding of the needs of older people, including dementia and complex care needs.
- Ability to attend to personal care needs, including helping with food, bathing, and toileting.
- Good level of IT skills (Microsoft packages).
- Care certificate or willingness to work towards Care Certificate.
- First Aid, food hygiene, and Manual Handling qualifications.
Please note that this role requires a high level of discretion and confidentiality, and you must be able to maintain the trust and confidence of our residents and their families.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.43, plus enhancement for night working, and a supportive working environment that values your well-being and professional development.
