Job Title: Domiciliary Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domiciliary Care Assistant to join our team at St Monica Trust. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents in their own homes, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive care and support services, including personal care and hygiene, to residents in their own homes.
  • Ensure the social support of residents, encouraging and facilitating their interests and meaningful activities.
  • Assist with residents' health and well-being, including nutrition, medication, mobility, and supporting their visitors.
  • Formulate, review, and maintain resident care plans and paperwork, adhering to regulatory bodies and St Monica Trust policies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including residents, families, and external partners.
  • Undertake housekeeping and laundry duties as necessary for residents.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of the needs of older people, including dementia and complex care needs.
  • Ability to attend to personal care needs, including helping with food, bathing, and toileting.
  • Good level of IT skills, including Microsoft packages.
  • Care certificate or willingness to work towards Care Certificate.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • First Aid, food hygiene, and Manual Handling qualifications.

Hours: 21 hours over 2 night shifts per week

Pay: £12.43 per hour, plus enhancement for night/weekend working
