Job Overview

1. Operational Excellence :

• Facilitate all retail operations and meet expectations on all key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Assist in the strategic planning of tasks to ensure a productive and effective workforce

• Make decisive choices and delegate responsibilities to the team proficiently

• Ensure adherence to processes and protocols while fostering a safe and healthy environment for both staff and customers

• Aid in the training and mentoring of the team to uphold best practices

• Utilize business communication tools to track task completion and adhere to deadlines
2. Financial Oversight:

• Analyze reports to ensure labor cost controls are maintained weekly, addressing any issues promptly and effectively

• Assist in scheduling store operations in alignment with trading patterns and business expectations

• Support compliance in payroll processing and resolve issues efficiently

• Contribute to the daily operational structure to ensure the store meets compliance, customer service, and security standards

• Be responsible for managing labor costs and store operations in the absence of the Store Manager
3. Sales Performance

• Comprehend business and customer expectations and inspire the team to deliver an outstanding customer experience

• Grasp product features and advantages and assist in training the team to maximize sales potential

• Understand assigned KPI objectives and support tracking against these goals while motivating the team

• Stay informed about the retail sector, business challenges, competitors, and customers, demonstrating strong commercial awareness

• Utilize reports to analyze and support the commercial viability of key products to enhance sales and profitability

• Implement merchandising guidelines effectively on the sales floor with a focus on commerciality and efficiency
4. Talent Development

• Assist in identifying internal talent and support performance management processes to drive exceptional results

• Help identify performance challenges and escalate them professionally to the Store Manager

• Be proactive in personal development and accept constructive feedback

• Understand and promote the core values of Frasers Group and coach the team to engage with these principles

• Encourage team feedback and serve as a liaison between the team and Store Manager
5. Leadership and Management

• Motivate the team and serve as a role model

• Assist in coaching and inspiring the team to achieve success

• Take ownership of key areas to support the Store Manager and be accountable for outcomes

• Build relationships with the store team and ensure alignment towards common goals

• Collaborate with the Store Manager to contribute to the overall success of the store

Qualifications

The requirements

3 years of management experience in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment Ability to positively influence results in sales, payroll, and inventory loss Proven track record of developing talented individuals Must be capable of performing well under pressure and meeting strict deadlines Committed to assisting the store manager in achieving the highest standards of store operations and customer service Previous experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager is preferred
