Senior Performance Engineer

Location: Hybrid Working Options Available

As a Senior Performance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the airworthiness of our aircraft through independent assurance activities related to design certification and safety evidence. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the primary airworthiness contact for establishing flight limitations in collaboration with System Design Responsibility teams and external stakeholders.
  • Generating and overseeing Flight Certification documentation, including Military Permits to Fly for Development and Production Aircraft.
  • Facilitating Flight Certification processes for Export Customers.
  • Addressing emergent flight safety concerns for Development aircraft and issuing necessary Flight Safety Procedures.

In this role, you will also contribute to the ongoing enhancement of BAE Systems and Eurofighter's flight certification and design certification methodologies. You will represent airworthiness at project meetings and support interactions with external clients.

Your Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in:

  • Aircraft Avionic and Mechanical systems design.
  • Aerodynamic disciplines and design configuration control processes.
  • Design certification and airworthiness protocols.
  • Analytical techniques for establishing integrated aircraft-level flight limitations.
