Position: Lead Engineer for Flight Systems

Role Overview:

As the Lead Engineer for Flight Systems, you will serve as the Technical Authority for Crew Systems, focusing on the development of Subject Matter Expertise (SME) within the team. Your responsibilities will include coordinating, managing, and supporting the execution of System and Equipment qualification activities, ensuring effective collaboration among team members involved in Hawk Crew Systems.

You will also oversee the professional growth of your team members, implementing the Personal Performance Review process to foster their development.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support critical design, development, and performance control documentation across various platforms.
  • Ensure the career advancement of team members through structured performance reviews.
  • Act as a liaison with external agencies and manage supplier relationships.
  • Lead design, development, and support initiatives for engineering products.

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • In-depth knowledge of Flight Systems, particularly with Typhoon, Hawk, and/or Tornado platforms.
  • Degree or HND in Engineering or equivalent Systems Engineering experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in IT.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and effective teamwork skills.
  • Competence in standard Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with external agencies and supply chain management.
  • Previous leadership or management experience in a team setting.
  • Background in the design, development, and support of engineering products.
