Job Title: Lead Airworthiness Engineer
Location: Warton – Flexible and hybrid working arrangements available.
Salary: £47,683 – £52,426 (Based on experience and qualifications)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent airworthiness assurance activities related to design certification, ensuring compliance with safety standards for various programs.
- Act as the primary airworthiness contact for coordinating flight limitations with System Design Responsibility teams and external stakeholders.
- Develop and issue Flight Certification documentation for both Development and Production Aircraft.
- Generate Flight Certification for Export Customers, ensuring adherence to international standards.
- Oversee airworthiness assurance for urgent flight safety concerns impacting Development aircraft, issuing necessary Flight Safety Procedures to partner operators.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of flight certification and design certification processes within BAE Systems and Eurofighter.
- Represent Airworthiness in project meetings, providing support during discussions with external clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Expertise in Aircraft Avionic and Mechanical systems design, along with Aerodynamic principles.
- Familiarity with design configuration control processes.
- Knowledge of design certification and airworthiness protocols.
- Experience in aircraft operations.
- Proficiency in analytical methods for establishing integrated aircraft-level flight limitations.
