Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Legal Secretary with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our dynamic team at Ryder Reid Legal. This role is essential for supporting our Restructuring department, which is currently expanding.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position, operating Monday to Friday, with a hybrid working model allowing for 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.

Compensation:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage and organize incoming communications, documents, and various projects.
  • Provide transcription and dictation support as necessary.
  • Oversee diary management, ensuring calendars and reminders are up to date.
  • Coordinate hospitality arrangements, including scheduling meetings, booking travel, and preparing itineraries.
  • Maintain and organize essential documents, ensuring proper filing and storage.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents for attorneys and partners.
  • Manage timesheet entries for attorneys accurately.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
  • Provide general administrative support, including coverage during absences and handling document requests.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of relevant secretarial experience and demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internal software is required, with a typing speed of at least 70 words per minute for transcription tasks.

We are looking for a collaborative team player who can effectively interact with colleagues and maintain positive relationships with clients and staff. Adaptability and flexibility are crucial, as the workload may shift according to the needs of the team.
