Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist to join our team at TruStile. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and quality within our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production personnel to develop best workflow solutions and optimize production processes.
  • Develop and implement waste reduction plans and provide ROI justifications for improvement projects.
  • Utilize 5S principles to organize product workflows and workstation set-ups.
  • Create standard work for critical processes and establish consistent work procedures across all shifts.
  • Provide ongoing support to production to create a culture of continuous improvement related to safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Track and audit the results of improvement projects.
Requirements
  • Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
  • Equivalent education and experience as a Manufacturing Engineer would be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, with responsibility for project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and lead corrective change initiatives.
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise or formal training in lean manufacturing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess strong critical thinking skills with the ability to create tools for data collection.
  • MS Forms, Power BI, and/or MS Excel.
  • Experience working with CNC controls is a plus.
Physical Requirements

The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

The work environment is indoors in a typical office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
