The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at The Ballachulish Hotel. As a key member of our culinary brigade, you will be responsible for creating innovative and delicious menus that showcase the best of Scotland's larder.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Planning and Development - Work with our culinary team to design and implement menus that are both creative and commercially viable.
  • Food Quality and Presentation - Ensure that all dishes are of the highest quality and presented in an appealing and visually stunning way.
  • Team Leadership - Lead and motivate our culinary team to deliver exceptional service and high-quality food.
  • Cost Control and Budgeting - Manage food costs and budgets to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Food Safety and Compliance - Implement and maintain high standards of food safety and compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Experience - A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a 4 or 5-star hotel.
  • Leadership Skills - Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Commercial Awareness - Strong understanding of food costs, budgets, and profitability.
  • Food Safety and Compliance - Experience of implementing and maintaining high standards of food safety and compliance.
