Position Overview

What We Seek

Due to our ongoing success, RSE is in search of an Engineering Project Coordinator to become a vital part of our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) division. This role is a full-time, permanent opportunity within our team, focusing on delivering small to medium-scale multi-disciplinary projects related to the repair, replacement, design, and installation of equipment and plant systems for utility services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact from the initial inquiry through to final acceptance and documentation, engaging with clients to understand specific needs and conducting site assessments as necessary.
  • Oversee, guide, and allocate tasks to Trade Operatives and Apprentices, ensuring a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency, and safety.
  • Guarantee that all technical documentation is accessible when needed for the successful execution of design and/or construction tasks.
  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules for all project activities, directing operations accordingly and preparing final documentation.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any discrepancies during both the design and construction phases.
  • Manage the design of systems and products, ensuring they align with technical specifications and requirements.
  • Complete necessary contract documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and client quality systems through effective management of project quality deliverables and procedures.
  • Contribute to tender submissions, design, and construction schedules, including progress updates and reporting.
  • Engage with subcontractors, managing the tender process, quotations, and health & safety documentation review.
  • Develop risk assessments and method statements.
  • Create work packages for site installation activities.
  • Prepare Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans for projects where Principal Contractor responsibilities are applicable.

Qualifications Required

  • A degree, HND, or HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A proven history in Project Management, complemented by an Engineering or Supervisory background.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to multitask and organize daily workloads effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to follow, interpret, and clarify technical instructions.
  • Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials common to various engineering disciplines, particularly Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and lead teams effectively.
  • Innovative mindset, with a willingness to learn and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
  • A valid UK Driving Licence.
