What We Seek

Due to our ongoing success, RSE is eager to welcome a dedicated Engineering Project Coordinator to our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) division. This role is integral to our team, focusing on the management of small to medium-scale multi-disciplinary projects related to the repair, replacement, design, and installation of equipment and plant systems for utility services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact from the initial inquiry through to project completion, engaging with clients to understand their specific needs and conducting necessary site assessments.
  • Oversee and guide the work of Trade Operatives and Apprentices, ensuring adherence to quality standards, productivity goals, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure the availability of all technical documentation required for effective design and construction delivery.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schedules, directing project activities accordingly and preparing final documentation.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any discrepancies during both the design and construction phases.
  • Manage the design processes for systems and products, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
  • Complete all necessary contract documentation.
  • Ensure project quality deliverables and procedures align with both internal and client quality systems.
  • Contribute to tender submissions, design, and construction schedules, including progress updates and reporting.
  • Engage with subcontractors, managing tender specifications, quotations, and health and safety documentation reviews.
  • Develop risk assessments and method statements.
  • Create comprehensive workpacks for site installation activities.
  • Prepare Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans for projects under Principal Contractor responsibilities.

Qualifications Required:

  • A degree, HND, or HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A proven history in Project Management, complemented by an engineering or supervisory background.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to multitask and effectively organize daily workloads in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to interpret and convey technical instructions clearly.
  • Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials relevant to various engineering disciplines, particularly Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and lead teams effectively.
  • Innovative mindset, with a willingness to learn and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently in high-pressure situations.
  • A valid UK Driving Licence.
