About the Role

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a skilled and experienced Capital Programme Support Officer to join its Capital Planning Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that supports the delivery of an ambitious programme of capital projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Capital Planning Team, including strategic estates planning work streams.
  • Work closely with in-house teams and external contractors to ensure the successful delivery of capital projects.
  • Support the development and delivery of project management arrangements, including arranging meetings, preparing agendas and papers, and taking minutes.
  • Assist the Strategic Capital Planning Team in preparing and adapting project plans and reports.
  • Arrange meetings with internal colleagues and external partners of projects.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our team of 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.

Requirements
  • Education to NVQ level 4 or equivalent, with demonstration of CPD in a relevant area.
  • Understanding of project management processes.
  • A willingness to undertake training as appropriate to the role.
  • Experience of working in partnership with a range of organisations.
  • Experience of working to targets and outcomes.
  • Experience of Committee work and minute writing.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Project management qualification.
  • Commitment to and evidence of ongoing personal training and development in a related area.
  • Experience of working within the public, voluntary or social care sector.
  • Awareness of financial and budgetary controls.
  • Experience of creating presentations and giving briefings.
