About the Role:

Sphere Solutions is seeking an experienced and skilled Project Manager to lead our water sector projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of water sector projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Site Supervision: Manage construction activities on site, including subcontractor management, resource allocation, and scheduling. Maintain a safe working environment and enforce health and safety protocols.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders. Coordinate meetings, provide progress updates, and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure workmanship and materials meet project specifications and industry standards. Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify and rectify deficiencies.
  • Team Leadership: Motivate and inspire project teams to achieve performance targets and deliver high-quality results. Provide guidance, training, and support to site staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare accurate and timely reports, including progress reports, risk assessments, and method statements. Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records in compliance with company procedures and contractual requirements.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Project Manager or Site Agent on civil engineering projects, preferably within the water sector.
  • Valid SMSTS certification (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with a focus on water infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
