Carpenter/supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter Supervisor to join our busy team.

As a Carpenter Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of a team of carpenters and labourers. You will ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and according to specifications. Common sense and the ability to use your own initiative is essential. Adequate written and verbal communication skills are required, and you will need the ability to multi-task and have strong time-management skills.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Supervise a team of workers and provide them with guidance and direction.
- Plan and schedule work assignments to meet project deadlines
- Ensure that all work is preformed in compliance with safety regulations
- Train new employees on proper techniques and procedures
- Monitor the progress of projects and make adjustment as necessary
- Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to coordinate workflow
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control
- Address any issues and concerns raised by team members or clients
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.

**Essential Skills**
- SMSTS training certificate.
- CSCS gold card / NVQ level 3
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Will have extensive knowledge of Health and Safety within the construction industry and be confident in enforcing both H&S legislation and company policies on site.
- Will have excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a team environment.
- Will be able to read and fully understand technical drawings/specifications.
- Will be able to deal directly with our clients in a helpful and professional manner.
- Will be able to follow, manage and (where possible) accelerate construction programmes.
- Will be willing to travel.
- Will be reliable and punctual.
- Will be computer literate.

- Joinery: 1 year (preferred)
- Carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
