**The Role**

We are seeking an ambitious and energetic Assistant Store Manager to join our Newcastle Retail Store team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the store manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring a seamless customer experience, and driving sales through effective team motivation.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist the store manager in maintaining store operations, ensuring continuity and consistency in all aspects.
  • Be prepared to take on full managerial tasks as needed, demonstrating a strong understanding of store operations and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of store operations, including services and procedures.
  • Ensure the team is equipped with relevant industry knowledge and product expertise.
  • Lead the team in delivering exceptional customer service, setting a high standard for service excellence.
  • Drive sales through effective team motivation, ensuring the team meets and exceeds sales targets.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, communicating them to the store manager regularly.
  • Maintain a high standard of store image, conducting regular floor walks to ensure product and merchandising standards are met.
  • Support the store manager in managing wage-to-sales budget, shrinkage, and revenue.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for staff and customers.

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
