Position Overview
Band 6 Lead Physiotherapist (Emergency Services rotation)
To serve as a Lead Physiotherapist providing patient-focused, compassionate therapy for the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. To take professional accountability for all facets of your practice, including the therapeutic management of patients under your care, with guidance from your supervisor. To apply your physiotherapy expertise and skills to offer specialized support and counsel to the Multi-Disciplinary team while managing your own patient caseload as an independent practitioner. To deliver a high-quality, effective, and efficient physiotherapy service within the Therapy team. To actively participate in the Therapy Department team, contributing to the advancement of services in Therapies and the Trust. Rotational placements encompass: Intensive Care Unit, Respiratory In-patients, Acute Medical Unit/High Monitoring Unit, and Respiratory Out-patients.Key Responsibilities
To function as an Experienced Physiotherapist within the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
To engage in the management and clinical leadership of physiotherapy alongside the Band 7 Advanced Specialist or Team Lead.
To utilize specialized physiotherapy knowledge and clinical reasoning to provide expert support and guidance to the physiotherapy team while managing a caseload of patients with intricate conditions as an independent practitioner.
To ensure the delivery of a high-quality, effective, and efficient physiotherapy service in the designated area.
To be an integral member of the Therapy Department, contributing to the planning and policy formulation within these departments.
To act as a deputy for the Band 7 Advanced Specialist as necessary. To be an active member of the Therapy Department team, contributing to the development of services in Therapies and the Trust.
To serve as a deputy for the Band 7 clinical lead Physiotherapist as required.
