Head of Retail Systems

Huddle Search is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to shape and execute the retail technology strategy for a global food and beverage chain. This pivotal role will ensure that both front and back-of-house systems are innovative, reliable, and aligned with the company's strategic goals.

As the Head of Retail Systems, you will manage a team of skilled professionals, driving the development and support of technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. Your focus will include overseeing systems and platforms that support shop operations, ensuring seamless integration with franchise partners, and contributing to the broader digital transformation of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the retail technology strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company's overall objectives.
  • Lead innovation across retail technology functions, mentoring and guiding your team to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure technology solutions meet business needs.
  • Manage the portfolio of retail systems, from point-of-sale to back-of-house operations, ensuring they deliver value and reliability.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, integrating new and emerging technologies into the company's technology roadmap.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in retail technology, ideally within a multi-site, franchise-based environment.
  • Strong expertise in managing retail ecosystems, including point-of-sale systems, digital commerce, and customer loyalty programs.
  • Proven leadership in driving technology strategy and innovation, with a focus on operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical requirements into business solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of the food and beverage industry, with an understanding of how technology can drive competitive advantage.
  • Familiarity with both IT Service Management (ITSM) and agile methodologies.
