We are thrilled to announce a remarkable opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Senior Clinical Practitioner to join our esteemed team within the Surgical Neurosciences department at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. This role is integral to the delivery of exceptional care for patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree and demonstrate the ability to operate independently at an advanced level, ensuring the provision of high-quality, safe, and compassionate care to patients in the neurosurgical unit. You will be responsible for comprehensive clinical evaluations and management of a varied patient population requiring specialized neurosurgical interventions, while also enhancing your expertise in surgical neurosciences.
We encourage applications from those who are nearing completion of their Advanced Clinical Practitioner training, as this position can commence at a band 7 level and transition to band 8a upon successful completion of training.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments of patients
- Work independently to evaluate clinical situations
- Identify symptoms to formulate a working diagnosis and develop an appropriate management strategy
The successful candidate will receive robust support from our existing team of Advanced Clinical Practitioners and will be paired with a clinical supervisor. Collaboration with medical professionals and the broader multidisciplinary team will be essential, ensuring that evidence-based practices are central to your clinical approach.

Essential Qualifications
- Master's degree in Advanced Clinical Practice
- Non-Medical Prescribing certification
- Current professional registration with NMC or HCPC
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex and sensitive information
- Proven experience in managing patient care pathways
