Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior General Surgery Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our Theatre department at Oaklands Hospital, Salford. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert scrubbing services for surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment.
  • Collaborate with theatre staff to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of theatre policies and procedures.
  • Support the Theatre Manager in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Requirements

  • NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions.
  • 5 years minimum (UK) surgical scrub experience.
  • Orthopaedics, other speciality knowledge is an advantage.
  • Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) desirable, not essential.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Flexible and positive attitude.
  • A warm, considerate, and empathetic character.
