The Vice President of Revenue Operations at Up Learn plays a pivotal role within the executive team, tasked with spearheading revenue enhancement and overseeing the organization’s marketing and sales divisions. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience in these areas, demonstrating a history of achievements. This position demands a strategic visionary with outstanding leadership capabilities, adept at maneuvering through both B2C and B2B landscapes. You will be crucial in propelling Up Learn’s growth trajectory, broadening our market presence, and ensuring cohesive collaboration among our marketing, sales, and customer success teams to achieve our ambitious revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth Leadership:

  • Formulate and implement a holistic revenue growth strategy that integrates marketing and commercial efforts, prioritizing effective marketing campaigns.
  • Lead the synergy between marketing and sales to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, channels, and partnerships that resonate with our brand and foster sustainable revenue growth.

Marketing Strategy Development:

  • Direct the marketing strategy with a proactive approach, overseeing brand positioning, digital marketing, content creation, demand generation, and public relations.
  • Ensure alignment of the marketing strategy with our growth ambitions, utilizing data-driven insights to refine initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform product development, competitive positioning, and market entry strategies.

Commercial Strategy Execution:

  • Design and implement the sales strategy, ensuring integration with marketing for a seamless customer journey from awareness to purchase.
  • Manage commercial operations, including pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and key account management, with a keen understanding of market dynamics.
  • Collaborate closely with product teams to ensure our offerings align with market demands and are primed for success.

Team Development and Leadership:

  • Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams across marketing, sales, and customer success.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across all revenue-generating functions.
  • Establish performance metrics and reporting systems to monitor progress, adjust strategies, and drive ongoing enhancement.

Customer Experience and Retention:

  • Adopt a customer-centric approach across all interactions, enhancing satisfaction, loyalty, and advocacy through targeted marketing and personalized customer success initiatives.
  • Leverage customer feedback and data to refine our marketing strategies, product offerings, and service delivery.

Financial Oversight and Reporting:

  • Oversee revenue forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes, focusing on marketing ROI and commercial efficiency.
  • Report revenue performance to the CEO, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment with company-wide financial objectives.

  • Demonstrated experience in senior leadership roles within expanding organizations, with a robust background in both marketing and commercial functions.
  • Extensive experience in senior marketing leadership roles with a proven ability to drive successful marketing strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing, brand management, content marketing, and demand generation, with a strong capability to translate marketing initiatives into measurable business results.
  • Strong commercial insight with experience managing sales and customer success functions, ideally across both B2B and B2C sectors.
  • Proven success in scaling businesses, leading cross-functional teams, and aligning marketing and commercial strategies to drive growth.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a comprehensive understanding of marketing and commercial metrics and KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Experience with international markets and global expansion is advantageous.
  • Proven track record of successfully elevating brands and the ability to articulate the strategies employed.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively, complemented by excellent storytelling abilities.
  • Capacity to empathize with the diverse needs and perspectives of various stakeholders, including students, parents, educators, and school administrators.
