**About the Role**
We are seeking a natural leader to manage our optical store, with a strong focus on coaching and building lasting relationships with colleagues and customers. As a Deputy General Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations, ensuring financial and performance goals are met, developing commercial opportunities, and supporting the recruitment and induction of new staff members.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Manage the optical store, ensuring excellent customer service and a high-quality shopping experience
* Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive sales and growth
* Lead and motivate a team of optical professionals, providing coaching and support to ensure their success
* Collaborate with the recruitment team to attract and retain top talent
* Work closely with the induction team to ensure new staff members are properly trained and integrated into the team
**Requirements**
* Proven experience in optical retail, with a strong understanding of what makes an excellent store
* Excellent leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
* Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
