About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our Operations team at SPT Labtech. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain 'breeder' machines, including troubleshooting and resolving issues to achieve production targets.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Control team to maintain production records, reduce scrap, and improve quality.
  • Quality Improvement: Provide assistance to the Quality Control team in investigating returns and customer complaints, and lead continuous improvement activities within the team.
  • Supply Chain Management: Inspect incoming raw materials and work with the supply chain to identify and implement improvements.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO9001: 2015 and Quality System Standards, as well as Health and Safety Laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with mechanical assemblies, pneumatics, PLCs, and camera inspection is highly desirable.
  • Problem-Solving: A methodical and meticulous approach to problem-solving, with the ability to learn new skills and follow procedures.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interpret statistical information and take appropriate action.
  • Team Player: A motivated, self-starter who can prioritize their workload independently and maintain a safe, clean, and tidy working environment.
