Position Overview:
The role of the Industrialisation Engineer is crucial in facilitating the transition from design to production. This position involves collaborating closely with the Design Engineering team on Product Development initiatives and ensuring that the designs are effectively transformed into actionable Manufacturing outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Configuration Control of Manufacturing product data.
- Provide clear communication and reporting on issues, risks, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Contribute to the Product Change process from a production standpoint, focusing on impacts related to Product Cost, Work In Progress (WIP), and Material.
- Implement changes to Manufacturing Product Data and manage the disposition of existing WIP and Stock.
- Identify and execute Continuous Improvement opportunities aimed at reducing Product costs while enhancing quality and delivery.
- Support Engineering in Product Development, including the approval of drawings.
- Translate Engineering Bills of Materials (BoMs) and Drawings into Standard Manufacturing data to facilitate the industrialization of Products into Assembly lines.
- Manage the configuration control of Manufacturing data, including BoMs, Routings, and Work instructions.
- Participate in project meetings, reporting on progress, issues, and concerns.
- Effectively manage product changes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Manufacturing, Production, and Assembly environments.
- Able to independently manage and prioritize workload, whether working solo or as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical Manufacturing and Assembly methods and processes.
- Experience with Configuration control of Products.
