Role Summary:

The successful candidate will engage in all aspects of the bid process. While prior experience in bid writing is preferred, we welcome applications from individuals who can demonstrate strong writing skills and a willingness to learn about the technologies we implement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compose clear, focused, and logical proposal materials (and other business development documents) while ensuring consistency in style, branding, and tone.
  • Create and compile tailored high-quality Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) and tender submissions that address customer needs and expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal business development managers and operational teams to develop and write customized, high-quality PQQ and Invitation to Tender (ITT) submissions that reflect a thorough understanding of client inquiries.
  • Convert technical information into written proposals that are accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Thoroughly review responses against the provided scoring matrix and criteria.
  • Assist the business development team in preparing marketing materials and negotiated proposal submissions.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven, strong creative writing abilities.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Word, along with a solid understanding of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
  • Sound business acumen.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with electronic tender platforms.
  • Proficiency in InDesign and Illustrator, along with desktop publishing skills.
  • Experience in proposals, bids, and tender writing within a dynamic office environment.
  • Knowledge of the energy, environmental, and/or construction sectors.
  • Understanding of the public sector housing market.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to be assertive and articulate.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
