Role Summary:

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned Senior Bid Writer to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will engage in all aspects of the bid writing process, demonstrating the ability to create and compile tailored, high-quality PQQ and tender submissions that align with client needs and aspirations. Strong project management skills are essential.

The ideal applicant will exhibit exceptional creative writing and verbal presentation abilities. Experience in producing timely submissions that effectively promote the business, particularly within the social housing and local authority sectors, is crucial. A key aspect of this role will be the development of benefits-driven proposals that convey genuine customer value. Familiarity with the energy or construction industries is advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee submissions, PQQs, and tenders.
  • Manage the bid process, collaborating with sector teams to establish strategy and ensure adequate resources for submission completion.
  • Coordinate resources throughout the process, ensuring all content is prepared and maintaining the quality of the final output, subject to approval and including client engagement.
  • Produce high-quality PQQ and bid documents, including writing and editing content and document production.
  • Lead the production of bid documents, promoting best practices in planning and organization.
  • Ensure adherence to business development processes, style, and brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate bid information in collaboration with bid team colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Bid Improvement Plan.
  • Commit to promoting best practices across Sureserve Group.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Outstanding creative writing skills and knowledge of their application in a bid context.
  • Understanding of the construction, maintenance, and building sectors.
  • Familiarity with electronic tender platforms.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels.
  • Strong time management and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is essential; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is highly desirable.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work within specified timeframes.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Disclosure check.
