About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Pension Projects Team Manager. As a key member of our administration projects team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of pension projects to meet the objectives of the portfolio and the project objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Plan, lead, prioritize, and manage the day-to-day delivery of a portfolio of pension projects to meet the objectives of the portfolio and the project objectives.
  • Team Management: Manage a project delivery team, including allocating projects and tasks, reviewing performance, providing internal communication, coaching, identifying training needs, and providing line management support.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management: Attend client and/or trustee meetings, build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and ensure the team has appropriate support mechanisms.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects adhere to quality assurance processes and meet quality assurance requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage project delivery risks.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in a leadership or management role in the pension industry and knowledge of both defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes.
  • Project Management: Previous experience in managing portfolios of projects or in managing a team of DB pension administrators.
  • Technical Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of pension and actuarial calculation and/or data projects, strong technical pensions and legislative knowledge and understanding.
