Co-Opted Remuneration Committee Member

We are a public corporation established by the Pensions Act 2004, governed by an independent Board. We are comparable in size to a top 5 UK pension scheme, with assets exceeding £32 billion, and have developed a sophisticated investment strategy that is considered best-in-class. Our culture combines the standards of the private sector with a public service ethos.

We have engaged with the industry extensively in 2024, as we have taken on board the Department for Work and Pensions' (DWP) review recommendations for the PPF to collaborate with the Government to explore opportunities to utilize our capabilities and skills for broader public benefit.

We are currently seeking an independent co-opted member of the Remuneration Committee on a one-year fixed-term contract. The Committee is responsible for ensuring the fulfillment of responsibilities outlined in the Pensions Act, as well as the people strategies implemented by the PPF.

Committee Members are required to review detailed papers in advance of meetings, which typically take place five or six times a year, and provide independent insight and guidance to ensure the organization's continued success.

Individuals should possess experience as a member or advisor of Remuneration Committees, supplemented by remuneration management experience, i.e. CPO, from an insurance, pension (or other financial) institution.

You will be experienced in the public sector and remuneration setting within that context, as well as strategic change in an organization of a similar scale to the PPF. Additionally, you will understand the role of a non-executive position and provide evidence-based contributions in committee meetings.

Co-opted members are compensated £500 per meeting attended. Meetings are typically held in person at our Croydon Head Office or London Cannon Street, or occasionally via telephone/video conferencing.
