We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a new Strategic Systems Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for the formulation and execution of medium to long-term strategies for system control functions.

Your role will focus on leading and managing projects, identifying future requirements that necessitate system modifications, and developing comprehensive programs to implement these changes efficiently. You will oversee the financial aspects and budget management of specialized projects, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.

Engagement with external stakeholders, including industry leaders, will be essential to gather insights on best practices and emerging trends that could enhance our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulating and executing action plans to drive positive changes aligned with organizational strategies

• Leading interactions with a diverse range of external stakeholders to validate and support the Control Centre strategy and project portfolio

• Overseeing the daily management and enhancement of the Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), including SCADA and Business Applications

• Managing and improving ancillary systems such as logbooks and fault logging databases

• Representing the organization in industry forums to develop future strategies for hydrogen adoption and regulatory compliance

• Managing and delivering Control Centre projects funded through various mechanisms, ensuring compliance with governance and license requirements

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience with SCADA systems or programming, or a willingness to develop these skills

• Technical knowledge or a commitment to pursuing project qualifications

• Background in the energy sector

• Proven ability to engage positively with external stakeholders

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
