Hoop Social Work

The Intake and Assessment team is a dynamic and engaging environment, reflecting the diverse and evolving needs of the community. As a Principal Social Worker, you will conduct Well-being and S47 assessments, providing short-term interventions aimed at enhancing family safety within their homes. Your role will involve managing cases for a limited duration, with long-term responsibilities typically transitioned at the initial planning meeting.

This position offers a unique opportunity to influence and enhance practice and performance within the team while maintaining a manageable caseload. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Team Manager and the team in implementing the Signs of Safety framework, ensuring a high standard of service delivery. Additionally, you will have the responsibility of supervising staff and collaborating closely with various agencies to develop and improve services for young individuals.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A recognized Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one
  • Three years of professional references
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle
