Social Workers in this role conduct Well-being and S47 assessments, providing essential short-term interventions aimed at enhancing family safety within their homes. Cases are typically managed for a brief duration, with long-term responsibilities transitioned at the initial planning meeting. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence and enhance practice and performance within the team while maintaining a manageable caseload.

As a Principal Social Worker, you will collaborate closely with the Team Manager and your colleagues to implement the Signs of Safety framework, ensuring the delivery of a high-caliber service. You will also have the responsibility of supervising staff and engaging with various agencies to develop comprehensive services for young individuals.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales
