Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at NHS. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist expertise and input within our Older Peoples Services.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing specialist assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to individuals with complex mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist clinical leadership and consultation to the Older Peoples Services team
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for individuals with complex mental health needs
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to individuals with complex mental health needs
  • Contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives and research projects
Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology or its equivalent
  • Eligibility for chartered status with the British Psychological Society
  • Experience of working with older adults and individuals with complex mental health needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
