Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to join our Youth Team in Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to young people aged 14-25 and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct protocol-based psychological assessments of patients, including neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations, and semi-structured interviews with patients and others involved in their care, under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
- Assist in the formulation and delivery of patient care involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a patient's problems, under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
- Assist in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups, under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
- Prepare psychology reports, under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
- Provide appropriate health and social care interventions according to service users' recovery goals.
- Assess health and social care needs as part of an integrated team, and implement/commission packages of care where appropriate.
Requirements:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm and drive for working with children and their families.
- Motivation to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.
