Position Overview

We invite applications for the role of Clinical Fellow (Core) in Emergency Medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This position is integral to our Emergency Department (ED), which is recognized as the largest in the region, handling over 130,000 patient visits annually. Our facility serves as the Major Trauma Centre for the East of England, providing care to a vast geographical area and supporting 12 additional District hospitals.

The ED is equipped with access to all hospital specialties and comprehensive investigative resources, including Ultrasound. Our department ensures robust supervision and training, with Consultant availability from 08:00 to 15:00 and a 24/7 presence of Senior Trainees on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be integrated into the Emergency Department team, receiving the same treatment and opportunities as other Trainees. An Educational Supervisor will be assigned, and participation in the monthly departmental teaching program is encouraged. Experience gained in this role may contribute towards future training applications through the CESR-CP pathway.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at the time of application is mandatory.
