Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Human Resources in providing guidance and advice to department heads on all aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, payroll, and recognition programs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of HR & Recruitment Officers and HR Coordinators, ensuring high-quality service delivery and fostering effective communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and propose initiatives to enhance the employee experience and lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development Manager to support various career advancement and training initiatives.
  • Manage employee relations cases and seek guidance as necessary, ensuring adherence to company policies and best practices.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the HR function in alignment with the hotel’s vision, values, and objectives.
  • Actively promote and represent the hotel in external forums, maintaining a valuable professional network and access to the latest HR information and industry practices.
  • Assist in maintaining a high standard of service in accordance with LQA standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Exhibit a genuine commitment to the company and hotel, with a focus on delivering quality HR services.
  • Possess experience in a similar capacity within the hotel and hospitality sector.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive background across the HR spectrum, with proven expertise in UK employment law.
  • Exhibit strong IT and administrative capabilities.
  • Maintain impeccable personal presentation, complemented by a warm and approachable demeanor.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, dedicated to delivering high-quality work with integrity.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as an HR manager in a luxury hotel setting.

Experience in a dynamic HR role is essential for this position, with proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, being crucial. Previous experience in a luxury hospitality environment is required.

The salary is approximately £65k per annum, inclusive of service and bonus.
