Position Overview

Technical Support Specialist

Our esteemed client is in search of a Technical Support Specialist to deliver exceptional technical assistance and support to end-users within the organization. This position entails diagnosing hardware and software challenges, executing system upkeep, and guaranteeing the seamless functionality of the organization's IT framework. The perfect candidate will demonstrate robust technical expertise, outstanding communication skills, and a proactive mindset towards resolving issues, with a keen awareness of the unique IT demands and compliance standards pertinent to a legal setting.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid working model

Salary Range: £25,000 - £30,000

Location: Bromley - Must possess the ability to travel between various offices regularly - A valid driver's license and car ownership are mandatory for this position.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support capacity, ideally within a law firm or legal environment.
  • Familiarity with multiple operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
  • Expertise in diagnosing hardware and software problems.
  • Understanding of network setups and protocols.
  • Acquaintance with ITIL or comparable incident management frameworks.
  • Experience with remote desktop tools and help desk software.
  • Knowledge of legal-specific software and systems such as case management, document management, and time tracking applications.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills.
  • Awareness of data protection laws and confidentiality requirements in a legal context.

Additional Requirements

  • Availability for on-call support after hours as necessary.
  • Capability to lift and relocate computer equipment.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure scenarios and respond promptly to urgent requests.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or similar qualifications are advantageous.
