Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead and manage our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of warehouse processes, and a commitment to ensuring efficient and accurate warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead the warehouse team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and providing performance feedback.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all warehouse processes meet quality and accuracy standards; conduct regular inspections to verify that inventory is stored and handled properly.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and ensure accurate record-keeping of inventory movements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety within the warehouse.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members follow safety regulations to create a safe working environment.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors; ensure that equipment is in good working condition.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including inventory levels, order fulfilment, and equipment maintenance.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or equipment malfunctions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in warehouse operations supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes, safety standards, and equipment operation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members, management, and other departments.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
