Security Access Control Manager

As a pivotal member of the Clyde Security Organisation, the Security Access Control Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing security access control operations. This position is integral to ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets within the Ministry of Defence – Royal Navy.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive transformational initiatives within the scope of access control, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and enhancing customer service.
- Oversee the daily operations related to non-compliant visit requests, serving as the primary point of contact for security matters.
- Make informed, evidence-based decisions regarding visit requests and associated risk assessments.
- Maintain comprehensive records of risks linked to access control and update necessary documentation as required.
- Investigate and implement innovative technological solutions compatible with existing systems.
- Provide expert guidance to project managers on security protocols, ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address clearance and access issues effectively.
- Generate and present reports on access control activities as needed.
- Anticipate and plan for potential disruptions to operations, ensuring business continuity.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with relevant personnel and government agencies to facilitate smooth access control processes.
- Lead the management of access requests from foreign and dual nationals, ensuring all necessary clearances are obtained.
This role is office-based and requires a proactive approach to adapt to evolving demands. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, working collaboratively with a diverse team.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in business IT applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
