Job Summary:
Mane Contract Services is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Officer to join our team as a Contracts Management Specialist. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end management of contracts, from initial capture through proposal, contract award, and all stages of contract administration.
About the Role:
The Commercial Officer will be responsible for providing strategic business advice while working closely with various departments to oversee a wide array of responsibilities. These include contract solicitation, negotiation, and ensuring adherence to contract terms and obligations. You will ensure that all contractual activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal Delegation of Authority, while securing necessary approvals for proposals and contract actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of various commercial/contract models and their application, ensuring compliance with Terms and Conditions, identifying risks, and implementing solutions to emerging issues.
- Contract Administration: Independently identify, define, and execute contract revisions and improvements following established procedures, ensuring all contract actions and closeouts are completed in a timely manner.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison with internal teams, customers, and suppliers, providing guidance on assigned agreements, and ensuring the flow down of prime contract commercial requirements to suppliers.
- Contract File Management: Organize and maintain contract files systematically, ensuring all contract-related activities are in line with negotiated agreements and compliance standards.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Commercial Officer or in a similar contracts management role, with expertise in managing contracts for major projects, programs, and complex agreements.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of commercial/contract models and risk management, excellent attention to detail with strong analytical, report writing, and organizational skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at various levels of seniority.
- Security Clearance: UK government security clearance is required, and candidates must hold British or dual nationality to be eligible.
