Technical Sales Engineer - Compressed Air Systems Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join our team, focusing on supporting businesses in the Northwest and Midlands with identifying, analyzing, and developing opportunities that deliver cost-effective outcome-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand project pre-engineering and have a business acumen, gained from working in an industrial space, ideally specific to Compressed Air systems, including Rotary Screw Compressors, Air Treatment, and Nitrogen Generation equipment.
  • Develop and deliver cost-effective solutions for customers, while maintaining commercially viable outcomes for the business.
  • Build and maintain business relationships with transparency, trust, and integrity.
  • Possess the acumen to perform at the highest level in securing and retaining business, while working as part of a team, with good customer-facing communication skills and a positive attitude toward further training and self-development.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical and/or electrical engineering qualification and proven background operating in a technical commercial role within an industrial B2B environment.
  • Full-time permanent position - 40 hours per week.
  • Basic salary range: £42,000 - £47,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
  • Sales commission of 1% of gross sales.
  • Business contributory Company Private Health Care Scheme, Company Sick Pay, and generous Pension Scheme.
  • Holiday entitlement of 25 paid holidays per annum, increasing by an extra day for each 3 years of service up to 30 days per annum.

Experience Required:

  • Min NVQ level 3, and/or City & Guilds or BTEC ONC/HNC/D Qualifications in a relative engineering trade.
  • At least 3 years proven experience in a Compressed Air Commercial Sales or Technical Role.
  • Understanding of environmental impact and relevant considerations when specifying compressed air solutions.

The Package:

The starting salary is negotiable in the range of £42,000.00, basic, to £47,000.00 per annum and dependent upon experience, and previous track history. Following a 6-month probation period, business contributory Company Private Health Care Scheme, Company Sick Pay, generous Pension Scheme, and Holiday entitlement is 25 days paid holidays per annum, rising by an extra 1 day for each 3 years service up to 30 days per annum.
